An Armchair Like No Other
Designed in the 1960s by Józef Chierowski to furnish increasingly smaller Polish apartments, the 366 Armchair encapsulated the opposite of pre-war clunky seaters and received immediate acclaim.
The embracing, effortless and compact seater filled millions of Polish homes and countless cafes and offices, becoming the most recognizable Polish mid-century design. The armchair also marked the starting point of 366 Concept as the centerpiece of our legacy and brand name.
The 366 Armchair’s versatility provides comfort and fit in even the most compact interiors, making it a staple companion at home. By combining it with other furniture from the series, we aimed to build an accessible entry point to timeless interiors.
The Quintessential Club Chair
The 366 armchair impresses with a design language that speaks simplicity and thoughtful ergonomics with character. The shapely, low-slung seat is supported by scissor-shaped, angular legs that feature tapering towards the bottom and slight beveling.
Contrasting petite armrests crown the legs and take a characteristic 1960s round, upturned shape. Buttons and kedar keep the design modest. As a result, the 366 Series hits just the right balance between low-key and dapper and pays a tribute to an era when even staple items were far from boring.
While being a faithful reissue of its forebear, the contemporary 366 Series brings a number of aesthetic and practical improvements. To please the eye, the side screws that connect the frame of the 366 armchair to its legs got hidden, and sliders were added at the end of each leg.
The dimensions of the frame were slightly adjusted to match the size of today’s people. The seat features only two buttons and is filled with zig-zag springs and high-density foam for improved seating comfort.
A Versatile Home Staple
The 366 Armchair can prove its versatility in any setting. Put against a side table, it creates a cozy space for journaling or scrolling through even in a compact studio space. Pair it with another 366 Armchair and place it around a sofa and a coffee table, and you’ll build an inviting lounging section in your living room.
Place one in your bedroom or dressing room and you’ll never again forget where your handbag is.
Our favourite finishes? Mustard upholstery in Coco or Marble fabrics set on a dark frame are an absolute mid-century classic. Beige Coco Creme fabric paired with natural oak, on the other hand, is crying out for a glamorous penthouse somewhere in Manhattan.

A Cohesive Family
We extended the 366 Armchair’s unique design to the broader 366 Series - a set of matching pieces designed in the same vein to build a cohesive modernist interior. The series contains a set of coffee tables, a two-seater and a three-seater, as well as a rocking chair and even a scaled-down junior armchair for children. Their common denominator? Rounded organic shapes, tapered angular legs, light form and extreme versatility.
No later than in 1961, Józef Chierowski designed an armchair with a frame made of steel tubes, clearly referring to the 366 Armchair. The prototype became commercially available in the late 2010s when revived by our team as the sibling 366 Metal Series. While both series share the same seats, the metal one features distinctive armrests and a steel tube frame that give it a minimalist, Bauhaus-style appearance.

The seater is available in four shades of oak: from natural and slightly darker shade, all the way to much darker brown and black variants.
