The Story Behind

The distinctive curved backrest is the distinguishing design element that made the 200-190 Chair an undisputed icon of the 1960s. The chair's decorative, lightweight and functional form will complement the carefully styled interior of a dining room, home office or restaurant.

The 200-190 Chair in its new look is made of the highest-quality ash wood and finished with brass accessories. A reissue of this icon represents the ultimate comfort, carefully balanced proportions and exceptional craftsmanship at the highest quality standards.

Rajmund Hałas: Virtuoso

Rajmund Teofil Hałas was an outstanding designer, architect and educator. His best-known design from the 1960s, the 200-190 Chair, is a piece of furniture with a simple wooden structure, an exceptionally comfortable seat and backrest that has become an integral part of many Polish homes.

During his scholarship in Finland, Hałas was influenced by Nordic design, which we can undoubtedly see in many of his works that refer to Scandinavian design thought.
